a picture is worth 1000 words

Well friends i have some exiting news! i have organized all my pictures and made them available for your viewing pleasure. i have incorporated link to the albums in the sidebar to your left (liz showed me how...she actually understand html). I hope that you all will enjoy looking at them, and feel free to copy them to your own machines. have fun!

a noteable quoteable

My roomate Liz (i love her) says the darndest things. tonight all the girls in the suite were watching A Knight's Tale. Now Liz's favorite part of the movie is the kiss at the very end. i must admit that as far as kisses go this one looks pretty good. the particular aspect that Liz likes is where Heath Ledger's character, William, pulls away looks at Jocelyn, his woman, grins and kisses her again. So now that you know all about the grin-and-kiss i will tell you all about what liz had to say about it.

So it was right after we had rewound the kiss to watch it again (we are such girls!). i believe Liz's exact words were, "I have two goals in life, to be kissed like THAT, and to be kissed upside-down like Spiderman!" now at this the only thing the rest of us girls could do was errupt in laughter. Well Liz as far as life-goals go i think you picked a couple that are certainly attainable. Good luck with that :)

star-light, star-bright

Today i was sitting in organic class listening to my teacher lecture. then suddenly he went off on this tanget about the titan moon and liquid methane being discovered there. well now, this was starting to sound interesting so my ears perked up. my professor then began to talk about where the carbon atom comes from. now ive never thought about where atoms came from, this was a new idea for me, and it seemed like this information could be pretty cool, and it was. so my teacher is going off about the big bang and gases and stars collapsing on themselves. apparently when the big bang happend hydrogen and helium were released. then as all these gases and other jank in space start spinning you have stars or something. well these stars freak out and collapse on each other and rediculous nuclar fusion stars to happen, where protons are fused to other protons making new atoms. at least i think that was how it went. then these atoms are released into space and billions of years later they find their way into the earth. so we, as humans, are carbon based life forms and carbon is everywhere on our earth. exciting huh... it gets better...

so God formed us from the dust of the earth... a.k.a. pieces of used up stars. so basically our bodies are constructed of "star dust". why don't you chew on that for a while...kinda cool huh? in the words of my organic professor, "This world is good!!", so is God!!(that last part is my own words).

fat kids for God

today the girls and i got together for our second bible study together. we were discussing a quote from one of our lessons. the discussion was pretty comical, it went kind of as follows:

i read beth's quote, "those who continually feed on God's faithfulness are far more likely to have a ready supply when the challenge arises because it abides in them. In fact, might we say that the more we feed on God's faithfulness, the fatter we will become? How's that for a diet reverasl? I'm thrilled to know we can binge on God without guilt!"

then i said "i thought that was kind of cool i read it and i thought, Shes a fat kid"
then liz says "i thought it was wierd. i dont want to bite God"
to this erin replies, "i dont think you have to worry about God saying 'Bite Me!'"

The other night Allison, Erin and i had a SUPER girly night. we ordered chinese take out and watched all 5 hours of Pride and Prejudice. it was in a word - superb. any way i had a couple of fortune cookies that were relatively exciting. They both are quite up beat:

1) You are offered the dream of a lifetime. Say yes!
2)All the effort you are making will ultimately pay off

now this may sound kind of silly but i think that God can talk to you through a Chinese fortune cookie. Ive been feeling as if all my efforts at school are futile and that little fortune is just the encouragement i need. As far that the dream of a lifetime i'm not really sure what that is about but if it ever happens i will be sure to let you know.

believing god

the suites and i are doing a bible study together. very exciting! the study is written by beth moore and it is called believing god. its about being continually acitve in your faith and beliving god.

so far ive learned the five statement pledge of faith on believeing god:
1)God is who He says He is
2)God do what He says He can do
3)I am who God says i am
4)I can do all things through Christ
5)God's Word is alive and active in me

i am really excited about all that we are going to be discussing. i am so thankful that i have friends that are willing and excited to do a study like this.
