Alright, yes... I officially suck at keeping up with my blogger. But understand that here at home I have dial-up so I try to avoid the internet whenever possible. Well lets see... time to catch you up. In the words of the Enigo of the Princes Bride, "Lemme es-plain... wait is too much...lemme sum up".
I've been working for CSC as a summer co-op and it been a blast. I've gotten to do some really cool stuff. I have been crowned the Queen of Remedy (the data base that I work in). The guys I work with were extremely impressed with how I have mastered it. I think its hilarious though... we all know how I don't know anything about computers. Its amazing to me how I can excel in this job. I've also gotten to install additional memory into some PCs. I bet you never could have pictured me opening up a computer and tinkering around in there huh? So far I've been having a good time.
Creationfest has come and gone as well. To sum it up in one word... AMAZING. I learned a lot about God, myself and my friends. It was really fun to road-trip to PA. Syd and I made the guys listen to girly music. They liked it. Once arrived at creation we set up camp. The guys had some issues setting up the screen room, but then the ladies stepped in and got the situation under control. The camping aspect of the trip was great. We cooked all our own meals and even roasted shmoes (that's crystal talk for s'mores). The music was awesome too. We saw tons of bands, Switchfoot, Newsboys, Jars of Clay, David Crowder Band, AudioAdrenaline, Reliant K, Delirous, TobyMac, Out of Eden, Jeremy Camp, and the list goes on. I was so impressed with all the groups that I found it very hard to pick a favorite, but if I had to choose I think it would be Casting Crowns or Jeremy Camp...probably JC. Syd loved Reliant K which seems to fit perfectly. Ryan's fave was FM Static. And Andrew fell in love with Stacie Oricco... haha he actually enjoyed TobyMac the most. I must admit that my heart was overjoyed by my friend's response to this experience. They we open and graceful in most every thing they did and said. I mean if someone told me that Andrew and I would be breakin' it down in the rain while TobyMac was gettin' his jam on I would not have believed him. All in all I couldn't have asked for a better trip and I have the work of the good Lord to thank for it. If he had not gone before me and prepared the hearts of my friend this trip would have failed miserably... so, make a joyful noise to the Lord!
