Let me just say that Liz Miller is ridiculously HOT! She is my roommate and I love her... especially when she says things like this: "Why don't girls just accept that boys are stupid and tell them what to do?!"

Camping, Wilmington, and chicken

I definitely had a super duper weekend! It was great.
on Friday I went to go swim laps when the boys baseball team busted up in the pool with their little trainer to do a workout. Let me just say that just cause you can hit a ball with a bat does not mean that you can swim laps. Lets just be honest... it was thoroughly entertaining.
Friday afternoon, Liz and I took off with IV to go camping at lake Jordan. We got lost along the way so it made for a very interesting ride. If you really want to hear the story you can come ask. When we finally made it to Jordan Lake and hour and a half after everyone else we roasted hotdogs on the fire and toasted marshmallows. All in all it was a pretty fun time.
Saturday morning Liz and I packed up and drove down to Wilmington to vista Lauren and Susan. We went to the beach and I got sunburned on only 1 shoulder... How does that happen? Saturday night we got together with a bunch of UNCW kids and played some hard core beach volleyball. It was so awesome!
Overall the weekend was quite enjoyable... And to top things off, it was chicken tender night at fountain... Always a favorite among the 909 chicks!

Small group

Lat night was mine and Armando's first small group. it was really fun! we ordered pokey stix for the freshman. they were so funny... none of them knew what pokey stix were... but now we've educated them. we didn't actually do a bible study last night but we ate and talked with each other for like an hour and a half. i thought it was really great. i am hoping that we will be able to have an awesome fellowship with these kids. i love them already, i just hop they love small group as much as i do!

TVs and DVDs

Today was a pretty full day. Liz, Allison and I were up early and went shopping. We all spent lots of money. We all got some new clothes and Liz and I got a new TV and DVD player for our room. Ya'll are gonna have to come check 'em out. After dinner we went over to Lefty's to watch "How to lose a Guy in 10 Days"... as always much fun. Overall I would have to say that it was a pretty great day.

IV its the place to be

school is going good. my classes seem like they are going to be pretty fun although they are going to require lots of work.

we had our first large group meeting for IV last night and it was very exciting. we had soooo many new people come. i just hope that they will return. after large group everybody went to Krispy Kreme for doughnuts. of course the doughnuts were yummy and i met some really cool freshmen boys who are going to be in my small group.

Tonight IV is going to go rock climbing. I am so stoaked! I cant wait to meet some more new freshman!

Back to School

I moved back into my beloved 909D on Thursday. Liz got here yesterday and our room has come together quite nicely. My Cuba poster is the hottest addition to our room, and hopefully we will soon have a couch. Half our suite is here and its very exciting. We are all anxiously awaiting the arrival of the other half.

it is so good to be back. I cant wait to go to classes and to get back into the swing of things.
